Project Breach

Project Breach

Project Breach is an ambitious modification of the popular first person shooter Half Life 2. It combines elements of strategy games and typical first person shooters. In the mod, players are able to create defensive structures from scratch to use to defend a goal within their base. Combat gameplay is round and team-based. Each player can submit one of their own structures for use at the beginning of each round.

PB is a team project that I have worked on alongside Matt Young. While we occasionally overlapped, most of my responsibilities were with server-side coding, whereas he handled the client-side coding. I was responsible for the design of the defense management part of the mod, which was written completely from scratch. I was also mostly responsible for the overall design of the architecture of the project . The core parts of the project were completed for our undergraduate capstone project at Marshall University. Development may continue depending on the amount of free time that we both are able to devote to the project.

Very specific details (and more screenshots/videos) of this project are not being released to the public until we fully decide whether or not to continue the project. However, if you would like more specific information, please feel free to contact me.
